Startup Signpost was born from overwhelm and FOMO.
Alanna (our founder) realised that despite being a tech entrepreneur in the Cambridge area for more than a decade (and a University of Cambridge student prior to that), she was still discovering organisations, networks, workspaces and events that she’d been missing out on all this time.
Once she started looking and collating information about what was available in the Cambridge innovation ecosystem, she realised that there was an overwhelming amount going on. How was she going to work out what, where and when she should be, to best support her business ventures?
Having created the beginnings of Startup Signpost as a personal city guide to the incredible (but complicated) Cambridge startup ecosystem, Alanna realised that this was a resource that should be shared with others. Startup Signpost was born.
