The first innovation centre of its kind in Cambridge, SJIC accommodates innovation businesses of all sizes, with a focus on later-stage startups and scaleups.

The Bradfield Centre is a huge, modern innovation centre in the middle of the Cambridge Science Park. It caters to a large range of startup sizes.

ideaSpace is a sleek, modern space, located on the top floor of the Hauser Forum at the West Cambridge site. They focus on early stage startups.

West Hub is on the University’s West Cambridge site, but it has plenty of coworking spaces which are free to use for all (including non-university members). Additional facilities can be prebooked online, for a fee, although University members may be able to access some of these bookable facilities free of charge.

The Glasshouse is a community workspace which offers casual, cafe-style coworking space as well as a bookable board room and events space. It is based within easy reach of Cambridge train station. To use the free-of-charge coworking spaces, you must first apply (and be accepted) as a member.

Allia Future Business Centre brings together like-minded founders and organisations with social and environmental missions.

Serendipity Labs has a global presence, and their Cambridge location is right at Cambridge North station. It’s great for transport connections, and we love the flexibility of the day passes they offer, although the coworking lounge space may not suit all styles of working.

Part of the global group, WeWork Cambridge is right by the main Cambridge station. They offer coworking, dedicated desks and private office space.

The Quad is a workspace with coworking as well as private office spaces. It’s on the northern edge of central Cambridge. The space is bright and sleekly styled. They offer really flexible access, including by the hour/day.

Fora Cambridge is one of over 60 Fora locations across the UK. It’s on the pricier side for Cambridge workspaces, but the location (near the station) and access to other locations might appeal.

ideaSpace City is a small satellite of the main ideaSpace (West). There’s a tradeoff in facilities, but you can’t get much more central in terms of location.

Co-Labs is purpose-built for startups, and provides lab space from a single bench to larger private labs.

ideaSpace South is a satellite site (the main ideaSpace is the West Cambridge site), based right on the Addenbrooke’s Hospital site.

FrameShift is part of the Milner Therapeutics Institute, based in the Jeffrey Cheah Biomedical Centre in the heart of the Biomedical Campus. They have a unique bio-incubator offering fully serviced lab space.
