St John’s Innovation Centre

How they describe themselves

“Since 1987, we’ve been Cambridge’s home for innovation, helping startups and growing businesses thrive. As the first innovation centre of its kind in Europe, we’re proud of our history of supporting knowledge-based businesses and driving innovation. At SJIC, we offer a dynamic and supportive environment where ambitious, innovative firms can accelerate their growth. We’re here to support you every step of the way, from startup to scaleup.”

Notes from Startup Signpost

SJIC seems to have a strong focus on the growth stages of startup businesses, and it seems to be a place where ambitious businesses can grow without the disruption of moving buildings. They are currently creating more options for early-stage founders too.

Workspace options

Getting there

SJIC has more parking spaces than most of the Cambridge workspace options, but spaces are not guaranteed, especially at peak times.

Some people get creative with parking options, utilising the Milton Park & Ride, for example.

There’s bike parking out front, and you can walk from Cambridge North station (about a 20min walk).
