Cambridge Network

How they describe themselves

“Our mission is to encourage collaboration for shared success, supporting growth within the Cambridge Cluster and beyond. Join our vibrant network that supports over a thousand members. With extensive knowledge of the Cambridge ecosystem, we provide valuable support and networking opportunities to our members. We facilitate and encourage connections through a diverse range of events, jobs, training courses and peer learning groups to continue to support the success of the Cambridge Cluster.”

Notes from Startup Signpost

The Cambridge Network is a powerhouse of the Cambridge tech & innovation scene. Startups are welcomed, but the group has members of all sizes, including most of the biggest corporations operating in the area.

Their events are slick, well-organised, and well-attended. You may learn something interesting, and you may make some useful connections - but don’t expect this to be a “warm hug” for entrepreneurs. You’ll be a small fish in this room, albeit one who is very much welcome.

Event types

  • Recruitment events

  • Talks & lectures

  • Classic networking (Cambridge Network Connect)

Membership

This is one of the few networks in the area who charge a membership fee - but some of their events are open to the public, although you may need to pay a non-member rate to attend. Check the individual event page on their website, or find relevant events in the Startup Signpost Events section.

Location

The Cambridge Network’s base is at the Hauser Forum on the West Cambridge site.
