Cambridge Wireless

How they describe themselves

“Cambridge Wireless is a global not-for-profit membership organisation at the forefront of innovation in connectivity and digital technology. Since 2000, we have united industry leaders across advanced connectivity, telecoms, connected devices, networks, data analytics, satellites, security, and more – building a thriving international community headquartered in Cambridge, England, and deeply embedded in one of the world's most intensive science and technology clusters.”

“Our community spans technology companies of all sizes and stages – from global network operators and device manufacturers to innovative start-ups and universities – all united by a shared commitment to advancing the technologies and ecosystems shaping the future.”

Notes from Startup Signpost

Cambridge Wireless is a really impressive network, with members from all across the connectivity & digital technology community in the Cambridge cluster.

Their focus is not on start-ups, although you’re welcome here. Think of this as more about industry-specific networking rather than about entrepreneurial networking. If you’re in the connectivity & digital tech industry, then you might particularly benefit from the special interest subgroups, which focus on areas such as mobile networks, AI and semiconductors.

Event types

  • Cambridge Tech Week

  • Talks & lectures

  • Classic networking (e.g. summer BBQ)

There is a fee for Cambridge Wireless membership, but they have a number of tiers to chose from (and scale up through). Many of their events also have ticketed options for non-members to pay per event.
